I wore military issue for many years. When I had to buy my own I wore Wolverines. Switched to Carolinas, better quality but very warm. Currently wearing Timberland pros, high cut at work low cut at home. Very comfortable, durable, and a composite toe:thumbsup:

Timberland PRO Titan with alloy toe. Light, comfortable, and waterproof. Only wish they were a tiny bit more durable, but otherwise a great boot.

Super light, very sturdy, waterproof, warm, fit like a slipper and really great traction.

I've had them for a year and they show no signs of wear, even though I wear them every day around the property.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Before these I had a pair of Kodiak Blue for 8 years (made in Canada ), then replaced them with another pair of Kodiak Blue (made in China) that only lasted 18 months.

I used to have to wear steel-toes every day and the company would give us $100/year towards boots. I would just buy whatever was under the $100 limit, even though they were cheap garbage. I usually ended up with timberlands, they fit me the best even though the soles would wear out in a couple months.

Now I'm working about 50/50 office/production floor, so I wear loafers in the office and these when I'm in the factory:
    http://www.amazon.com/Timberland-PRO-Mens-Gladstone-Work/dp/B00CJRMOEM#

They're ugly as shit and not that comfortable, but they're easy on and off, and most importantly, they keep the safety lady off my back.

Blundstones. They hold up better and are more comfortable than danners. Plus no laces.

Cheaper than Blundstone by about $50, and made locally I believe.

Nice boots. I had a pair long ago when they were just called rainforest and you could get them through Cabela's. They were $100 cheaper too. Now I have a few different RedWings. Always American made though. I've also looked into Thoroughgood. I've heard great things about them as well.
