I am planning on doing some mods to the truck but since I'm new to the off road scene I'm not sure what I should invest the money on. Some advice and recommendation would be great. Here are some pics of the truck as well.3_967902bd96f72baa58d7d41bd983929c364266d0.jpg2_1d63a308617cb62fc86712339fd48398fc9076a2.jpg1_94f0cc5622bf8bc02498e8b68256d142462b8e51.jpg

since you are local come to the mod day in buena park next week and check out everyone's taco's and see what you like, and someone is always selling something. it also depends on what you want mod, radio, suspension wheels. you can do things like black out the badges and paint your wheels black and that would cost around 25 bucks for all the above.

Yea, it all depends what you want to do and what's more important. If you're gunna hit the trails off the start, I'd probably start with some suspension and tires... Also are you running 4wd or prerunner?

Otherwise, as far as visual/comfort things one thing I wish I did sooner was get the color matched grill (though now I wanna do the satoshi mod to it so it might have been kinda a wash anyway). Ditching the chrome grill and rear bumper made all the visual difference to the truck to me, I love walking up to it now and can't help but stare at it.... Little things but they help :p

Also, there's audio/video... I did a metra ipod cable (was circuit city so finding that is hard now, but there are others) for a cheap fix to get more music until I eventually swap in a real system.

I would love to come out next weekend but unfortunately I will be on my way to vegas. This is my daily driver so I don't want anything extreme until my warranty expires hahah. This is a prerunner.

killjoy, how dare you say something that makes sense! No fun!

I didn't really answer the question I guess... if I had $1,000 to drop on MY truck right now.... I'd drop in some new speakers, amp, and a small sub.

I already have my suspension stuff for the most part so I would go for the All Pro Front bumper as of right now. Waiting to see what some other companies make before I finally decide what to do.

It's annoying calling the bank and telling them that I'll have money in a month, please don't send the repo's.

In this economy unless you're in a recession proof job (Like I'll soon be in, in less than a month) you really shouldn't be dropping cash on frivolous things.

I once posted on here asking if I should put insurance claim money towards bills or an AllPro bumper since my truck had been hit twice in as many months.

Best thing I ever did. Put it towards bills. Bank probably would have taken the truck back with the shiny new allpro bumper back otherwise.

I'd say go to a ModDay or Meet and see what you want before buying anything.

not to many, love it the way it is
nerf bars to help protect the truck from other people who do not care in the parking lots.... for off roading you will probably want sliders instead - though they do not stick out enough to stop other peoples doors' from wacking your truck, I think?

    set of nice seat covers...

Paying it off early is NO FUN! Don't do that! I'm quite sure the payments aren't killing you so mod it!

    I WOULD:

-Get a color matched front grille (either buy one from www.TRDparts4u.com or let a local body shop sand, prime, and paint it)
-Paint the front toyota emblem either Flat black or Color matched.
-Bilstein 5100's and if you want a factory looking getup prolly set em to 1.75 (www.downsouthmotorsportscom)
-Get some all terrain or mud terrain tires at least 265/75
-Put a nice stereo in it
    -De Badge.
    - Get a razor knife and a file or some sand paper and cut your mudflaps a little shorter~!!!
