Do we know much about the Fox shocks going into the 2017 TRD Pro?

I am wondering what version they might be on the Fox web site, Guessing the version 0-2". They have remote res, so must be decent and adjustable??

I feel like I have a bit of a learning curve with the leaf springs, never had a pick up before.

I am looking forward to buying a '17 TRD Pro DBCSB.. Is it Fall yet??? I will buy it and literally head straight to Southern Utah to break it in.. Can't wait..

Figured someone here could answer: is there any resale value in the stock UCA's? Do people buy them?

Do you have any pictures or threads on your build? I'm eyeing the Stage 5 ICONS. How do you like the kit?

Download this issue of TCT Magazine. The white SEMA build 2016 has the stage 6 on it. Oh and for anyone interested this truck is for sale.

I'm considering the boss kit. Thanks for the insight. Do we knowing the Icon kits have been tested and approved for the 16's?

Has anyone had any luck with 2016 Tacoma speedometer recalibration? If so how, who, what, where?

Incoming noob question! Yes I've used the search function and I don't have time to go through all the pages.
I'm new to the truck scene.. what are the risks associated with a spacer kit? Any wear and tear? Thinking about a readylift 3/2 spacer kit and wondering if I'll be fine with that and some 275/70/17 tires. Very minimal off-roading, purely for looks.

Current lift plan is King shocks front and rear with Total Chaos UCA and Icon 1.5" AAL for the rear. Any thoughts?

I'm considering the bilstein 6112/5160 kit. Is it recommended for the 3rd gen or is Bilstein going to make a specific gen 3 kit? Is there another setup that would be a better bang for the buck?

I'm sick as I write this. Also a little embarrassed. Everything was going well until we got to the final corner. One of the spacers fell out before we put in the shock and we didn't notice until it was torqued. We were tired being the last one and we're just ready to be done. Well needless to say we found the missing spacer and the lower shock mount is bent to shit. This picture makes me sick. Any suggestions on getting it fixed? Torching it and bending it back? We have stopped trying to bend it back so as not to weaken it anymore.

Hammer it back and then assemble with all spacers. Not a big deal.

Well I guess I left off the detail that when we torqued the bolt for the lower shock mount it pushed in the metal and the bottom of the shock with the spacers won't fit in the mount....

Put a 3/8" drive extension in the hole on the left in the pic. Use a 3' piece of pipe or something similar and bend it back. No harm done.

Use a 6" ratchet extension. Put it through the hole about an inch. Use a piece of pipe or a deep well socket on another ratchet extension as a breaker bar and bend it back. If you need more I can take a pic of an example in th morning and show you.

I think I understand what you are trying to say. Something like this? We have a torque wrench off to the right of the picture. It really just wants to bend the outside of the mount and not all of it. The right side of the mount is the side that is bent in so much from torquing the bolt without the spacer. image.jpg

That should work. Just takes a little patience and finess. Put a tire on the ground under the truck in case it falls. B careful.

The frame is supported ahead of the axle so I hope we are ok. We cranked the heck out of it and even tried different angles. The extensions were flexing like crazy. The metal would move a little but bounce right back. We will try in the morning. Thank you for your help.

Does anyone know if the Icon lift kits been approved and tested with the 2016s like the Boss kit?

Or are we assuming it's good?

Boss Lift versus Icon for the money?
