Both are Stock - built correct from the start.
$2100, ARE Mx, color matched, Yakima rails, carpet and drop down front slider. Six week order time. The day I get home from picking it up the exactly same topper pops up on CL in my town for $1100.

Anyone have a dealer recommendation for the central FL area? The pricing on even the Leer Legend is insane everywhere I call. 17 DCSB White.

How much would you pay for a leer 122 thats an older style in good condition? It's currently sitting on a used Tacoma and the owner has no idea how much to ask for the canopy.

What do you mean by older tacoma? I dont believe you can buy a earlier gen cap.

As far as price it is all over the place it seems. I've seen 500-2000. I paid 900 for my Leer in B- condition but color matched.

Sorry. Current 122 leer in white. Will have to convert side windows to windoors and color match since it's white.

I paid $400 for a used Leer for my 2006 Tacoma. Shell looks like crap, but the good news is, so does my truck! Match made in heaven.

I paid $275 for this ARE on Craigslist 7 years ago.
    9VutMznGaD.jpg
It was Pyrite Mica and my truck is Timberline Mica. It didn't match, but wasn't quite bad enough for me to get it painted for 7 years.

I finally got it painted about a month ago. No photos yet, but it does look much better.

Just bought my shell. Probably over paid, but it's coming straight from the factory with all the bells and whistles that I want.
Loodbars with Thule rack system, Passenger windoors for easy access to cab, removable front sliding window, driver side sliding window with pet screen for the pup, carpet roof liner, and power lock that ties into my smart key!!

    Shell is about 2800 +tax!

Only down side, have to wait about 4 weeks for it to be made and shipped!!

Good investment I think. I love and use my shells all the time, I have one on both of my trucks. I purchased new as well and a few weeks ago was installed. I've always purchased used shells until this one. had plans on doing the carpeting myself but I'm glad I paid 100 bucks for factory to do it. Well worth it, would have been a pain in butt. I opted to take the tracks and racks off of older topper and install myself since factory wanted 250 just for tracks, already had tracks and have installed before.

Enjoy your nice new shell on nice new truck. New truck deserves new shell..pics?

I can post pics when it comes in and is installed! I had a shell on my last truck that was used and not necessarily the correct model. Excited to get one that fits my new Tacoma perfectly and has the features I want on it. I am not sure I mentioned that I am getting a leer!

I didn't have the tracks or rack, but doesn't it void your warranty on the shell if you don't get it installed from the factory? That's what I was told!!

What shell did you get? Got pics?

Oh that's right.. on order, my bad. I went leer as well. My dealer said it wouldn't void but I also purchased the legacy version which only comes with a 5 year warranty not "lifetime". Leer only has Thule rack products and I already had yakima stuff. Now that I really think about it having them install the tracks isn't a horrible deal, for someone that doesn't feel comfortable drilling into brand new shell. Also yakima and thule stackers interchange (same tracks).

I got a leer legacy (or legend I cant remember name but only for sale through dealer) regular t handle back window, front slider fold down with carpeted interior and power block.

Mismatched on purpose.. 2015 magnetic grey metallic, midnight black metallic shell

Super happy paid just over 2000 (knowledge for thread)

Is that the leer 100R? I ordered the leer 100XR, so its just got a refreshed look from what I can tell.

It's called the legacy (or legend, one or the other).. exactly like the R only 400 cheaper. They don't advertise it online, I only found out about it through dealer. I does just come with the double t handles on back window (framed glass) so no keyless entry options but all other options are available. Also no 'lifetime' warranty but a 5 year. The leers seem very solid. I can walk and stand on it. I'm super happy, glad I decided to mismatch color too

Gotcha!! I think if I had gone with a black top it would look cool. But I did get it color matched. So I'm running with it for now. Had a mismatch on my last truck because I went used. I need to figure out about getting my tailgate linked into my lock/unlock
