What'd you pay for your shell?

how much to color match if you don’t mind me asking? I need to paint my cement shell army green here in the next month so I don’t look like a weirdo

I just priced one out (Hillsboro, OR) and the snugtop rebel was 4K…seems like somethings off, this thread has me sad.

 

Try all American on 82nd in PDX. It was $3400 a few months back

 

$500 from Craigslist. Leer 100r (I think) with windoors and sliders. Roof tracks. Carpeted. I'm on the fence about doing the cheap maaco color match (about $350) or doing it myself in bedliner (probably $100 or so). Anybody have experience with the cheap maaco paint?

 

Going to look at a Black Leer 180 today. It's carpet lined and has roof racks (although they sit off the side so I doubt they can hold much weight). Anyways, the seller is asking $1800 which is out of my price range... if I can get him down to $1200-1500 I think I may go for it.



It's still expensive but ive been looking for a long time for a 180 or 122 (or any mid/high rise) and this one is literally right down the street from me.

 

I bought my Leer 100R brand new from Leonard for around $1800 in February of 2018. Color matched, carpeted, sliding front window and pet screens. Those were the good old days. I think it was about a month from order date to the delivery. If I could go back and do it again, I'd have spent the extra $$ and gotten the tilting front window.

 

$350 for the shell and another $50 for the 4runner rack on top.

 

Do the 4Runner racks fit into a Yakima track? Or did you get the whole set up, including tracks?

I'm trying to find a cheaper alternative to the Yakima/Thule racks that go into the tracks. The best I can find new is $300 Rhino rack. And there's nothing in the used market for any of those models.

 

Looking at a used one-year old 100R with folding front window, headliner carpet, sliding sides, and roof rails for $1,400. Thinking about jumping on it even though it’s black and my truck is grey.

 

I have a red shell on a silver truck. No intentions of color matching it, my wife hates it

 

yeah I’m not actually too concerned about joining the mismatched gang! Just scouring these threads to see if $1,400 is a buy-it-now deal, especially with the insanely long wait times for new shells.

 

You would be saving money for sure. I'd say it's a decent deal for both you and the seller. Try and get another 1 or 2 hundred knocked off but either way not bad. I've never had a color matched shell and never will

$1400 is a pretty good price for that if it's in good shape.

And black shell looks good on almost any color truck. Looks like you've got an OR too? So all the black trim helps tie it all together.

 

I appreciate the insight! Yeah I think black top will look good and not out of place, price seems about right. Checking it out tonight.

There was also a white Snugtop Rebel for sale in the Asheville NC area for $1,800 but unfortunately it’s for a long bed...just in case anyone is looking for one around these parts.

 

I'll be driving through Ashville (I40W to HWY 19/74 to Nantahala gorge) next Wednesday. If you don't end up getting the black shell we can meet up if you wanna see what one looks like in person. Pictures are sometimes useless and hard to tell. If I found one used for that price and color I'd jump on it. I looked for a few months but couldn't find anything for sale so I bout new and chose my color
