It's not perfect, but it doesn't need to be. I watched a few vids on YouTube on how to fix clear coat peeling, but I actually just ended up sanding the whole ting down, priming it (2 cans), painting it (4 cans) and 2K clear coating it (2 cans). I think getting the 2K was what saved the day from a generic rattle can job to it actually looking somewhat professional of you squint a bit.

Found mine for $100. Even had a roof rack. I just need to add the foam sealer to prevent water entry.

I paid $900 for mine. Impossible to find these in Los Angeles area. So yes I over paid last year. Snugtop Sport with roof rack and carpet interior.

Picked mine up last weekend from offerup for $540. Has clear coat issues, but came with yakima rack and pop-out lock handle.

What was your wait time for this, and I can only assume when you ordered they offer to paint match? First time buying a Shell so I'm trying to figure out the best approach.

Wait time ended up being about 7 weeks, when they had estimated about 10-12. For the paint match, just had to give them the paint code. They did a great job with it, matches perfectly.

I just had a quote for a leer 100xr with sliding windoors, roof track, keyless lock, and old down sliding front window. They wanted 4500. Ridiculous.

I just forked out $4200 for my leer 100xr with roof liner, tracks, and sliding windows with screens. That’s $600 more than I paid for a higher trim topper for my 3500 dually 2 years ago.

dealer told me the price was going up again next month too. Wait time is 8-10 weeks.

what a time to be alive…

    Nice deal!
I also love the little STAR WARS Imperial logo in the corner of the topper. :D
Did you add that or was it already there?

I really like those side windows. I just called the dealer to see if they can amend my order to change to those. Hopefully it’s not too late.

Ha! I did the same thing. Originally ordered the standard sliders. Emailed them a couple weeks later and was able to switch them to the windoors. Love the look and functionality!

Me too! My DCLB has a LEER 100 XL and I was wondering...
Does anyone know if there are any options to convert the existing windows to the windoors?
I've searched online but haven't found any websites showing what parts are available/would be needed.

I imagine you could go to your dealer and they could get you replacement windoors. My guess is they’re the exact size as the regular windows, but I could be mistaken. People order replacement windows all the time when theirs break, so it’s not an unusual request.

$600 for a Leer 180! Marketplace find! Spent $50 on butyl tape to reseal the windows, new screens, and one bolt / rail mount that was stripped.

    Thanks for the suggestion.
What do you mean dealer? Like a Leer dealer?
I bought my Tacoma 3 yrs ago in Michigan and (thankfully) it already came with the topper.
