I'm looking into getting an ARE CX hardshell for sleeping in. For work, in the Midwest, sleeping in it is going to require insulation and heat.

    What's everyone using for insulation???

What about heat? Invertors for the heat???

So many questions, so little time.

    Thanks in advance.

Reflectix foil insulation works well over the windows. Foam padding on the floor. Heating from an inverter is a no-go. No battery has enough capacity to power a heating element of any significance. Small propane heaters like the Mr Heater Buddy series may work to heat the space before bed and in the morning. However, understand the dangers of CO poisoning. Propane heaters have killed many campers.

mr buddy creates a shitload of condensation - your best bet is a good sleeping bag and a hot chick.

Maybe something like this? Might require cutting your new shell tho, it has supply and exhaust vents
