The diesel Colorado ZR2s have caught my eye.

I test drove one some weeks ago and couldn't get past the cheap plastic interior for the sticker price dealer as asking for. Toyota uses plastic as well but it's finished better.

I like the diesel engine though but it's not as punchy as my X5 (which is turbo). I still prefer the front end on the Taco more so than the curvy front of the Colorado. I think Taco looks more aggressive (especially with the BF KO tires)

For me, it's the other way around. I had the old Prerunner back in my day along with the 1st 4Runner. Both went over 150k without any issues. Then moved to cars and Suvs ...had a Acura MDX, then BMW 535 twin turbo (miss that thing!), then Jeep Grand Cherokee before ending up with a BMW X5 and wife got the newer Denali (6.2L v8!).

My X5 has served me well but the high cost of ownership puts a dent in my wallet (and higher insurance). Plus my kids have grown up now so no need to haul baby seats anymore and I miss driving a truck.

At this point, it's between the Taco OR or the new Ranger (which will be rolling in dealer lots come Jan end). Gimme a truck and I'm a happy camper (literally!) for the next 10 years.

I’ll hold onto my Tacoma but I hope to own land one day and would like a more work horse ready truck. Probably some older full size that can do some farm work

i'm keeping the Tacoma forever (cus it's a MT) and i'll rebuild her to do it.

but after she's done being my DD i'm gonna build up a E46 M3 MT from the scrap heap to a 6 figure jewel. and no i'm not kidding either. i've wanted one since i saw one the first time.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
I don't even have the slightest desire to get rid of my 04 DC, but eventually plan to buy another truck to go with it, likely a Tundra DCLB or a F250/F350 DCLB with the 6.2 gas V8 as I'm thinking hard about getting out from under my 1997 7.3 Powerstroke in the near future due to the high cost of keeping a 22 year old diesel running compared to a gas engine.

I'm waiting for a Tundra redesign, likely in 2020 or 2021. I love my Taco, but need more room and more towing power for my boat.

I'd happily drive a tundra, but not at 13mpg's on a good day.

Agree, that’s one of the main reasons I’m waiting for the redesign. I’d be shocked if they don’t address mpg’s with something new under the hood.

A smaller, AWD, manual car. Probably a Subaru WRX. Turbo’d boxer, manual transmission, and AWD is a combo that gives me impure thoughts.
