Done Los Angeles, CA to Portland, OR several times. It's normally 18 hrs for the 1000 mile journey including stops, food and gas when weather is good.

I went for christmas once, BIG MISTAKE. Took me 27 hours b/c of snow. I powered through with coffee and having my sister drive when ever the road was clear so I can nap. Once morning came, a majority of the mountain passes I just 4wd the previous night needed a police escort through it.

Missing My Last Tacoma --- Had 11 Toyota trucks in the past and many other Toyota cars too.
    .
Drove from Atlanta to Central Quebec without stopping (except for gas, food & bathroom).

Did this one time per year for about 5 years in a row ... it's about 1,400 miles in about 28 hours (in my late 20s and early 30s).

Stopped doing this after I hit a patch of black ice on an interstate bridge at about 0200 hours in the morning (RWD Impala with cruise control on) and did a 360 without hitting anything. Scared the chit out of me and never did long drives without sleep again. That RWD Impala was like driving a bowl of Jello on a stick during an emergency maneuver.

On long trips now (anything over 300 miles) my average is 50 MPH (with all misc. stops included). And now, my max per day is 500 miles and/or 10 hours max on the road ... my favorite road trips now are about 300 miles per day.

Longest was about 2k miles. Moving from Nashville, TN to Los Angeles, CA in 2 and a half days. Then drove it back again four years later while towing a uhaul trailer. Both times was in a 99 Pathfinder.

Other long trips are Nashville to/from the north woods of Wisconsin (approx 800 miles) in one shot and Nashville to Washington DC in one day (approx 650 miles). These trips are either in the Tacoma or my gf's Element.

Charleston, SC to Times Square in a Chevy Tahoe with 7 people including myself and all of our crap, everyone packed for 4 day's, took us 14 hours to get there.
Edit: And because I had been the DD the night before I got to drive home since I was sober and everyone else was still half drunk from the night before my revenge was not stopping until we needed gas. It didn't bother me a bit but none of them talked to me for a solid month after that ride home.

I used to make the Fort Worth to Dayton, OH run (right around 1,000 miles) quite often and have done it non-stop on everything from a 1962 Dodge Town Wagon, to a BMW 83 R80ST...probably 5 times just on a unfaired, twin cylinder two wheeler.

My Iron Butt Association Butt Burner ride was 1,300 miles in 21 hours from Lynchburg, VA to Ft. Worth, Texas on a naked R1150R Rockster.
