whats the max lift, without having to swap out everything???

    Ok guys, heres where im at right now in my head...
    going to do the 5100's all around to ditch the factory versions...
    265/75/16 tires with an aftermarker 16x8 rim with 0 offset and 4.5" backspace (i assume for the ones i seen that said 4.45 backspace will work fine, as thats less than a 1/16" from 4.5)
    going to hit up the local spring shop that sells high quality leafs to gain an 1"-1.5" over my stock 2+1 leafs
    and i believe its 884? front coils from ome, or... can i use my stock coils with no problems, or handling like crap

    and that should make my truck sit level, give me about a 2" lift over what i have now, no rub, no huss, no fuss? if anything doesnt look right with that, let me know, i think in my head right now thats makes sense, and i think doing the rear leafs local, ill save shipping, and might get a decent deal since they arnt name brand off road brands, but american made springs

    Front 5100s @ 0, OME 844s, Rear 5100s, AFE pro dry filter
    FWIW i got exactly 2" with OME 884 coils paired with 5100s @ 0 and TSB springs with 5100s in the back. Love the ride, much better then when i had stock coils and 5100s @1.75.

    And I run 265/70R17 (same size as the ones u want) with 4.5 backspace and just had to remove the front mudflaps due to minor rubbing.

    that helps alot actually, seeing what i came to a conclusion of what would work from reading, are those the method rims? im not opposed to 17's either with duratracs, how bad did they rub on the flaps? only reason im kinda shying away from the tsb springs is i dont want them to sag out being it sounds like they will anyways, where if i go with better ones, it might not happen??? also, did you have to do an alinement after it was done? and any rub on the uca's? thanks alot!!!

    Your getting 265s, so you dont need less offset, you seem concerned about 0 offset and rubbing mudflaps and UCAs. You wont rub the UCAs, you can run 265/75/16 on stock wheels which i think are +30mm offset and you wont rub the UCAs. The less offset the more the wheel sticks out, the more the wheel sticks out the bigger the arc is when the wheel turns, so when you push the wheels out there is more chance that you will rub on mudlaps or the bottom of the fender flares. With 265s you should be fine even with -10mm offset. You may have to remove the mudflap. Any trimming will be very minor. And yes you will need an alignment after the install

    Ok. I'm just concerned so I don't have problems. If this was a snowmobile. I'd be fine. I'd know what I'd have to do. I just don't want a headache as this is my only ride. Thanks for the help guys. Time to kill the tax return soon as I get it.

    Its a good thing to be concerned and make sure you do it right the first time. You dont have much to worry about with that tire size

    They are Pro Comp 7005, a 17X8 wheel. Perfect size for a 265/70 tire. Originally i was set on 16" rims, but i liked these pro comps a lot and they dont come in a 16" so went for the 17s. The Duratracs are a pretty beefy tire and actually look pretty nice on a 17" rim.

    My TSB springs have not sagged for me at all over time, but they are a little soft for me. I occasionally also get some nasty axle wrap leading to wheel hop, which i believe is due to the softness of the springs. Your decision to get a spring shop to make you custom springs is probably a good idea in the long run.

    The tires rubbed on my front flaps pretty good in reverse at full lock, but since i removed them i have noticed no rubbing at all. No rub on the UCAs due to the decreased backspacing. And any time you lift you should definitely get an alignment.

    ok, im back, and was looking around on the toytec site... and now i have more questions........ gah, my head is going to explode soon!!! anyways, so i figured on the 5100's with i believe 884 ome coils and doing the own aal from the local spring shop.... adding it up in my head thats $500 before the spring shop, which leads me to the toytec questions, and reading their options is confusing me more, the one basically says beings im a double cab, i should go with 885's... but let me list of my options, for now, thinking i might just keep the stock off road rims and go with 265/75/16 duratracs... but heres the option list, which do you think is best....

    option 1, 5100's from downsouth and ome 884 (or should i do 885???) and hit up the spring shop

    Now this has me wondering I have a 2013 tacoma with the 3 leaf pack so since I have the 3 leaf pack could I not get the 4 leaf pack since its a tsb

    yep, im in the same boat there, 12/12 off roads only came with the 3 leaf pack, and not under the tsb, so that sucks, but oh well, just going to make my bank account hate me more now, lol

    ^^^^ exactly how i feel right now, glad i wasnt hoping to have this done by summer, lol, and to think, this all started out about 2-3 weeks ago looking for tires, then i find this site again, and do the ideas start rolling, soooo much worse then modding out my snowmobile

    A cab mount chop is seldom required if you don't wheel your truck. If you do you will rip off your mud flaps and rub the cab mount.

    Right. I was merely trying to put some info out there about my experiences NOT WHEELING this truck. There seem to be quite a few people questioning the CMC on their trucks with 285's. I do agree with you completely if you are going to wheel these trucks. If I'm wheeling It'll be my YJ on tons 42's, back halved, dovetailed, caged, LT4, SM465, locked front & rear, H1 24 bolts, yada yada yada. Not my Yota. Sorry, back on topic.
