I searched and I didn't seem to find this thread being created. Like the title says "what's the name of your tacoma?".

I am curious to know, post them up.

I currently haven't named my truck yet.

Lol. I guess putting just the word "name" in the search was just too much. Well I guess my thread should be deleted now lol.

Everybody says "search!" but nobody teaches good search skillz.

First you have to decide what you're looking for, and as many words about it as you can think of. Search for the most exact word. Now, if it's a common word like "name" you're gonna get about 20 gazillion hits if you search for that inside the body of the threads and posts.. But, "name" isn't a real common word to put in a thread title.

So, you have to figure out if you're looking for an entire thread devoted to a topic, or just one informative post that might be buried deep in some other thread.

If you think it'll be a thread devoted to what you're looking for, "show threads"

If it's going to be more esoteric, "show posts" will give you more posts to look through, but increase your exposure to the exact posts that have your specific term. For example: it doesn't help me to know that "TW Live" has a hit on "differential."

So, I found that thread by doing a search on

    Tacoma Name
    X-show threads
    X-search titles only.

Now, TW search is rotton for exact phrases. So if you need to search for an exact phrase, especially if it's a bunch of common words you may get "too many results found" in TW search. So then it's time to go to google search, and use quotes around your exact phrase like this: "you can just push it into place" - naturally you have to actually remember an exact phrase; but in a lot of cases you'll find you're looking for something you saw a while back, and you will remember some small exact quote from the post.

I'm a chick and I don't name my vehicles. So I don't think that makes him a chick. If he's not a chick and he's not a guy... hmmmm...
