I owned a 1967 MB 404 Unimog. My Licenses plate was UssMoGn. When I first restored it I painted it Rustoleum Battleship Gray. So i named it like a battleship USS MoGn. Name just stuck.

Back in the day.....oh dear god, I'm old. When I was 17 (1985-ish), I worked at McDonalds. I hung out primarily with my coworkers & my boss. This was down in Virginia where I lived at the time.

One of my co-workers...whose name was "Bucky" - he was 7' tall, very large man with a slow mentality. He was a country boy thru-and-thru. We'd go out to parties and this man would run around yelling "Lordy Lordy Lordy", Hooting and Hollaring..... he was funny as hell!!!

The group of us.....decided to start "Buckmania". Bucky become 'Buckster' and everyone in our group had a 'ster' on the end of their names. Hence...."Janster"
I think the 'ster' was Bucky's idea....so we went with it.

It just stuck......and I've been using it ever since. My license plate is Janster. I use it everywhere, although...on some newer forums, that name is already taken :( - so I have to improvise. It is starting to fade and I don't use it as much. My god...that was 30 years ago...yikes! LOL

You may know me from the many stories told about me and my epically toxic deficatition.

Actually was given to me by my buddy Paul early in high school for a Count Basie song, Flight of the Foo Birds.

Like others, when I first got on the internet and needed a name, I picked Road Runner cause I love to run the roads. It was already used on many sites, so I went with Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd and became Woadwunner. Never had a problem since. If you doubt my love, I like to do 1000 mile days on my motorcyle and am a memeber of the Iron Butt Association.

Back when I was getting my license, the big craze in Cali was VW bugs, So I had one and sent my Dad to the DMV to have custom plates, I wanted RAD BUG, Rad being a word for COOL, Tricked out and the like. But it was taken, so I choose RADDBUG. My whole town know who RADDBUG was. Well years later, I'm still Love VW but now I want a Pre 67 21/23 Window VW Bus. They are awesome. So I changed from RADDBUG to RADDBUS.

Funny too, because I think if you'd ask people visualize NM many might see a barren empty desert! :)

Sounds like the sort of thing could get some blanquito tonto stomped on his way to a Tacoma meetup.
"I only asked this group of young Hispanic gentleman if they'd seen ricantaco anywhere and all hell broke loose! Boy, they were mad!" :D :joker: Just kidding! :)
