I own a few firearms :) Of my handguns 10mm's are my favorite, fortunately I have a 10mm Delta Elite that was built by the original head gunsmith at STI. A superb tack drive'n X gun :)

Um when I was like 6 or so, I went to a St. Pat's festival and at the church we were at there were these massive wooden doors with chains that ran back to the wall to hold them open, hooks on the end for the door handles, ya know? Well this one broad was there and she put a hook in her mouth and said, " look I'm a fish" and then so did I. But, I had no one around to look at it and laugh so I stepped off the step I was standing on and that was that. Right out the side of my face, straight through and up two inches or so, which is a lot on a little kid.

Fast forward about 18 or so years and I am home from the Navy and hanging out with some buddies and I run out to get my smokes from the truck (a little tipsy) and on the return trip I, literally, trip up the concrete front stairs and smack the top one with my forehead. Well, I 'm a tough Navy guy and I just go make a couch cushion bed on the floor next to the wood stove and wake up the next morning with a paper towel stuck to my head. Pull it off to reveal the new ax wound looking laceration. By this time the wound had a healed a little more than the Doc at the local medical college liked, so he sticks a local anesthetic needle in my forehead (which was quite an experience in and of itself) and then trims back the dead flesh to create a suitable working environment. Yep, it was awesome.

Not gonna shave to show you guys the mouth scar, trust me, it's there.

    Forehead--He did a good job.

Long story short ... when my wife and I were first married, 31 years ago this Oct, I broke the box springs on a cheap bed when I jumped on it. She called me a Moose and it stuck. When we got personalized license plates up here, "MOOSE & M00SE" we already taken, but "MQQSE" was available. It's my license plate and my screen name (when available).

back in my early days of web mail (mid 90's) signing up for my first one. as usual the frustration of trying to come up with one that was unused, and out of desperation looked on the wall in front of my desk. there was a listing of code names for new tires in development (worked in a tire factory at the time) and Typhoon was one of them. the requirements for the server I was using was six alpha and 2 numeric so I changed ph to f. 11 because I'm OCD and have always liked the symmetry of the number 11. been using it ever since.

and discovering now that I'm into the offroading thing that it may kinda match my driving style just a little... :burnrubber:

No, I'm not a hacker. HackD actually has multiple-meanings unrelated to nefarious technological activities.

My primary hobby has always been modifying and riding motorcycles - primarily street, and with a focus upon sidecar rigs. Wrenching, or hacking on bikes in the garage has produced interesting results over the years. A sidecar rig is also known as a Hack.

This was my last major build-up - a Bandit 1200/Hannigan sidecar combination. It is now in long term storage, where the next meaning to the moniker HackD comes to play, by fate.

Except for small vintage Hondas, my motorcycle hobby was largely side-lined about 5 years ago. Ended up having a genetic disease process that caused the need to be surgically "hacked" upon, with fairly poor results - hip replacements needed in very early 40's that are problematic, which has slowed me down significantly, and trashed my ability to enjoy my hobbies to the full extent i used to ...

So it's basically a multiple-meaning play on words..

So my first and middle names are Roy Jeffrey but my Mom only agreed to name me Roy (dad and grandpa's name) if they called me by my middle name so I have always gone by Jeff. Probably about 8 or 9 years ago the crew I was working with found out my real first name and decided to start calling me JeffRoy and it stuck with me ever since. Then about 4 years ago at my current job we were all sitting around and saw the Leeroy Jenkins YouTube video and and naturally JeffRoy Jenkins was born.

I've been bowhunting for over 25 yrs. Compound hunting was getting (relatively) easy so I started shooting a recurve bow in 2002.
Self named bowyer2002 as one who shoots/builds bows - I'm only an archer not a true 'bowyer' who builds traditional bows.

My dad used to be a charter boat Captain out of Port Aransas when I was young. (Captain of his own vessel) I would always go out with him and we would fish around oil rigs, tankers and shrimpers.

I always loved the shrimp boats.

One day he had a man hand make me my very own small shrimp boat with working lights and everything.

    It's was named ChadsPride.

Found it fitting for my sn here....
