I have a 2004 Sequoia Limited with the JBL sound package. The Driver's door speaker has a blown voice coil. It's not the foam, I replaced that with a kit, and I have refoamed dozens of home vintage audiophile woofers and know that I did a good job at foam replacement and centering the cone back in place so that it's not rubbing. Short of finding a place that replaces/repairs the voice coils, I'm looking at replacement.

I'm also balking at the roughly $250 price tag on a factory replacement.

I've read that the head unit on this thing *has* to have 2 ohm speaker loads, yet I see a lot of 'replacement' aftermarket speakers being sold as 'fits 04 Sequoia'. Are they just assuming that someone will stick in an aftermarket head unit as well? I want to keep the stock radio. Are there any other options besides new OEM or hitting the junkyards?
