Yesterday when I left home, my front tire went off the street curb and I heard a pop. When I got home I looked at my spring and shock, but nothing looked broke. This morning I said let me try it again. Same thing. I've always thought my '08 has seemed to sit lower than other Tacomas. I don't know much about parts of the truck but it looks like something was hitting on the bump stop on the control arm????? Even as it sits normal there's only a little space between that bump stop and whatever hits the bump stop. I'm assuming the bump stop is the raised round portion on the control arm? My truck as 89,0000 miles give or take(I can't remember), is my suspension shot???

I took some pics, but is this normal with the amount of space above bump stop I guess that's what it is. image.jpgimage.jpg

1st pic is passenger and 2nd/3rd is the driver's side. Does any of this make sense or do I need to take a different pic?

Go to a dealership and get them to tighten all your suspension components. I had a bunch of front end knocks that sounded like metal on metal bangs and it was loose bolts (mainly on the lower control arm) slipping. They do charge $100 to "diagnose" front end noises. You could also grab a wrench and start tightening yourself but it likely will change your alignment to adjust those parts...

I purposely went off the curb this morning on the way to work and nothing happened. I know these things just don't fix themselves. I asked a buddy of mine this morning and he said your truck looks a little low in the front but he didn't take the time to look at it. He was working so I'm sure thats why.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
Can you post pics of both sets of springs? From different angles?
