A lot of the tacos around here are driven by old guys with caps on them...they don't even take a second look at mine. I have had a few pull up next to me and tell me nice tacoma.
Last Saturday a guy was getting some body work done to his '10 and was asking me about mine while getting it inspected.

I think every car/truck/bike do the wave. Back in the days of samurais people always waved.street bikes(no crappy harleys) did the wave. Lifted trucks etc etc.I can't be bothered now cuz I'm always giving some idiot who can't drive the finger

Added extra awesomeness to its original awesomeness.
Seems you have your answer already, but yes, I gave and received the jeep wave all the time back in the day. I wave at Tacomas too, just for the heck of it.

I wave at almost every 1st gen taco I see, and the nice/modded 2nd gens. Also round here every lifted truck waves to each other.

My GF just unloaded her 4 door wrangler this past weekend. I can breathe again knowing she's safe driving on the freeways and in the canyon.

But before she did, she always got the wave too. I think the female jeep drivers get the wave more so than male jeep drivers. I never got the wave while I was driving it.

I have a heavily nodded 84 cj7. Everyone waves at me. Some full grown men punch their wives in the leg to see this old thing. It's just how it is.....rookies.

I came from the Subaru world where every WRX/STI would wave to each other. Now I have an FJ and quite a few people wave. I'm a bit of a snob and forget to wave when it's a 100% stock FJ being driven by a middle aged woman.

If it's modded, I try to give them a wave a good percentage of the time.

I will make the statement that, in general, a statistically abnormal percentage of people that drive Jeep Liberty's piss me off. I am not sure why that is. No offense to any owners on TW.
