Actually 3600 tons of gravel would be about 2891 cubic yards.:D

    Ok guys...

Picked up another load of gravel yesterday on my way home from work.

Had the guy load it just like last time. Same size gravel, different gravel yard this time (cheaper prices)...I had him load it up to (as close as I could tell) exactly the same as the other load I got. I checked out the springs this time a little more in depth and it was squatting quite a bit. Im sure it was last time too, i just didnt notice it as bad. When driving back to the scales i was paying better attention to how the truck was driving and the steering and braking and things like that. I could tell i had a load on the back this time. I was expecting to have a little more than what i had on last time, BUT when I went in to pay, I had EXACTLY 1 ton on the back.

I got to talking to the guy behind the counter and he told me i need to check my reciept from the other place carefully. That they had been known to round up quite a bit and charge customers for more than they actually had. He told me the same thing you guys are telling me. There is no way i could have had over 1 1/2 ton on that truck.

So my appologies go out to all :sorry:....Im a big enough man to admit when im wrong...It dont happen very often...but dammit, when im wrong, im REALLY wrong...

Next time I'll be 100% sure before i post on here...Kinda sucks getting proven wrong in front of the whole world....

Don't sweat it--based on the information that you had at the time, you were right when you posted originally! And when all else fails, blame the guys who charge too much and lie about how much gravel they loaded...

    +1 Good call Charli!

Now he knows how much should be in the truck, and will question anyone that tries to charge him more! :D
