I haven't seen much of a following for Lexus GX 470's. I'll get it started with what I've done recently. Feel free to add yours though. What've you done with yours lately?

Been looking at rear bumpers lately and have my eye on the coastal kit or the 4x4labs kit.

So been having issues with my brakes. The electric motor on the master cylinder was going bad. Cheaper to replace that then the whole assembly. Toyota/Lexus wants $2300 just for the part. Found the motor for $425. dc045b2b-3f57-4081-8633-71685d337fac-jpe_b440d6349c1fe770f1ce168a44c2b863ab556aa9.jpgf4b5c0b4-9f13-4d91-9089-7dd9e6467002-jpe_1a726af7679ae2dbc180a130e7b3fff8b92fcfec.jpgfb60b81b-f337-4129-9b46-47e8b74b19ba-jpe_091cbac156d31cc5df6bca080bbf49f9d9423427.jpg

Nice. Just saw that you are in Yelm. I grew up in WA and bounced all around. Grew up on Whidbey Island, went to college in Bellingham and lived in Enumclaw for 10 years. Down in Central Oregon currently. Glad to see some GX470 action. Was starting to think I was alone here.

Nice. Love the white, SO CLEAN! If they made the Sport model in white, that's what I would've gotten. That Demello bumper is clean AF too. What are you running for suspension?

Clean looking GX! I have been looking at rear bumpers and have been leaning towards the 4x4labs. Hurry up and ditch the rear airbags before they blow on you in the middle of nowhere on a trail. Looking forward to seeing it progress!

I really want to keep it OEM for the suspension and am considering replacing it all to avoid unforeseen failures. Not ruling out ditching the bags, but want to weigh my options. My cargo varies quite a bit between different combinations of the RTT, motorcycle/carrier, two 130+ dogs and a random assortment of gear. I like the self leveling option for all the possible combos, but also want to clear some bigger tires. I'm assuming you are lifted or on aftermarket suspension? How does your ass end respond to varying loads?

I have Icon coils in the rear with firestone airbags. I had the bags hooked up to the stock compressor but it never worked for me so now I just manually inflate the bags when I am carrying a lot of stuff. I know others have had success using the auto leveling with the firestone bags.

I’ll join in here...... haven’t done much but drive mine the last few weeks. Ended up doing my spark plugs, ignition coils and driver side valve cover gasket last month. My water pump/timing belt is due fairly soon. Not looking forward to doing that one. lol

Slowly but surely moving forward. Removed the thermostat housing, upper/middle timing covers, belt tensioner, idler pulley and alternator. Should get the water pump off and timing belt removed/installed tomorrow, but we'll see considering the football playoff schedule. I would prefer to knock the entire job out in one day, but only having an hour or two of free time each day is limiting the progress...
