Haha, no kids. My biggest problem is that I work 70-80 hour weeks. When I do get some time at home, it's usually spent doing honey do's. Working in the garage for more than an hour or two at a time is a rarity.

Removed the crank pulley, lower timing cover, fan pulley bracket and timing belt this morning. May get to removing the water pump later, but we'll see. Feels good to have the big stuff disassembled, still a bunch of small stuff to go though (seals etc)...

Great 470 there:) I loved my 05 4runner v8, I may just go to a GX next to get it back, its up in the air between the big 3(again): 1gen Tundra, 4gen 4runner, or the GX470:fistbump:

So after all that, would you have paid to have a shop do it?

No. It wasn't that bad. I could've done it all in a weekend if I needed. I have the Taco too, so I was in no rush. Next time I'll be a bit more prepared. I didn't realize that you have to remove the valve covers to do the cam seals. I'll do valve cover gaskets, new fan bracket, cam/crank seals and a few other odds and ends on the next go around. I will say that the FSM was kind of worthless and makes you jump around quite a bit.

Not digital. I have the paper copies. Let me know if you want/need anything specific and I can scan or take photos of the page(s)...

nice, i did find the wiring diagrams for the 04 GX. Also, just got a working copy of techstream and cable to use. i can unlock all 4 doors at once now from the key fob instead of hitting the unlock button twice.

That's how they come from the factory? All 4 doors on mine unlock with 1 fob push. Hmmm...
