I will be going budbuilt for this reason. Only steel skids that work with KDSS. Unless victory has some now.

I was just browsing their website and everything that I saw was listed for non-KDSS. Do you have a link to the model you are looking at?

I called them last year. They apparently had a customer who wanted skids for his kdss model and a lot of other work done. They should be same price as the regular skids.

Got out today and did some exploring. Snow stopped us from making our desired destination, but it was fun getting out. Even added some new pinstripes...

jealous! Here in Alabama all of our national forest and state parks are closed. So all of my usual spots to “get out in nature” are blocked off.

Ours national forests are only "semi" closed. Campgrounds, day use sites and trail heads are closed. Since we didn't go to any of those, we were good...

Lots of information on various forums, but curious, how are you bigger tire guys carrying your spare tire?

Fabricated this metal piece to attach a strap. It works for the time being until I build a drawer setup.

It’s was cheap and doesn’t move. I am happy with it for the time being.

Same. Its not a good idea that I keep putting it off, but I think I just try to avoid it because I know I'm going to have to improvise something and I don't want to. Lol.

This is likely the way I will have to do it too. No way a 285/75/17 is fitting underneath. Although, I have read that some people don't inflate the 285 tire all the way and it has been able to fit underneath that way. May have to test it. I have a 265/70 underneath now and although its a nice spare, it will throw the GX AWD system off bad if I stick it on with my 285/75's.

Since we all have GX's here, kind of curious what day-to-day issues you all have on your trucks. For me, the main buggers I have are A. the leaky transfer case actuator seal and B. the "sticky" gauge cluster needles (often times my RPM and/or speedometer needle will "stick" when I start the truck, causing it to stay in-place while driving.)

only problems i have had have dealt with the brakes. first i had a sticky caliper. which was an easy fix and knew i was going to go with the 5th gen 4runner brakes since they were slightly larger. then, on the master cylinder the accumulator and motor went out. lexus wants to replace the mastercylinder which is like $2500 for just parts. found the 2 parts online for about a total of $600. now my abs, vsc, and trac light are on and the odes being popped are ABS system fail and pressure sensor fail. it also, looks like the reservoir of the MC has a chamber in it that doesnt want to get fluid. brakes still stop and work but doesnt have ABS. pretty sure its the pressure sensor is bad or i need a new reservoir.

and the doors on the center console is all fucked up. dont care about that tho

Weird. The only problem I've had is suspension bushing noises. Got all the bushings on hand, just looking to find some time to replace them. Other than normal wear and tear maintenance items, mine has been issue free.
