to get it off you will destroy it. you have to replace it at the same time you replace the bearing. and before you take any of it apart measure the distance be the tone ring and the metal backing plate. there is not a stop or anything for it to rest against. after you press the bearing and stuff back on you have to press the tone ring back on. if you are off at all the abs sensor will not read it and you will have to buy a new tone ring and do it all over again.

how about this............one of those sharp needle deals that you can get for the end of a grease gun............couldnt you re-grease the wheel bearings that way instead of having to press out/in with new ones?? wouldnt that make them last longer?? mine are starting to kinda chirp when i come to a stop(im guessing its them anyway....kinda a screeching noise). i gotta replace my damn calipers soon...but i dont think its them.

bearings going bad has to do with one or more of the roller bearings getting hot and having a bad spot on it and then damages the race. grease will not fix that.
