A good time and reason to buy tools :D

I have never experienced the squealing sound but I have had a handful of people tell me about it.

Let us know what you find!

So i was tagged in a post that shows a picture of hub assemblies from someone else that sells them. In the picture the assemblies are shown with an excessive amount of grease coming out of the hub flange where it presses into the bearing.

I was asked what all the extra grease is about.

Looking at the picture I can see where grease was placed on the shaft of the hub flange before it was pressed into the bearing. Once the hub flange was pressed into the bearing, all of the grease that was on the flange shaft was pushed out the other side. The clearance between the machined hub flange shaft and bearing is a tight tolerance but grease is not needed -- they press together quite easily with a 20 ton press.
The hub flange (once pressed into the bearing) does not move, the bearing is the part that moves and is the part that retains grease.

I am not sure what the purpose of the grease on the hub flange shaft is or why it is left on the assemblies -- not much help but i summed up the question so everyone can understand :)

These are not my assemblies, i am just answering someone's question.

I too saw thos other post and was debating who to buy from as both my wheel bearing are bad. after much research i can say you and your competitor started threads on here with in 2 months of eachother. which tells me you both have spent equal time time doing this. Both pffer the same warrenty . And both use the same brands. that being said you have a lower price (slightly) and took the time to explain why yours are better rather then saying delete it when someone pointed out you offer the same exact product at a better price and of equal or better quality. placing my order now. I just want to let you know your explaination is worth it.

I never got my tracking number or response to my email on the 19th or 21st that just wanted to know a time frame for the order placed on the 16th so I can plan.... Are mine going out with this bunch?

I now know these are made to order. Had I, I probably would have went a different direction, but I would hope a simple estimated build time would/could be provided to help with planning.

    Thanks again.
