it's an 8mm bolt which can be found under the hood

you can always push the pistons back into the caliper to make it easier going back on.

Subd and PM sent.......picked up a precision bearing assembly and was going to try and tackle the replacement tomorrow. This looks much easier and has me rethinking.

No need for an alignment unless your replacing any suspension components.

No.....you don't touch the suspension. Its simply removing the brake parts and then the hub assembly and reversing the process.

I got another question for y'all. I did a brake job and replaced the OEM rotors. The OEM rotors came off by putting a bolt in the provided threaded holes and backing it off - easy. The new rotors don't have threaded holes. What's a easy way to remove them which I'll have to do to replace the hub assembly. Thanks.

    ^^^^^nailed it^^^^^

definitely go for the dead blow hammer so you don't damage the rotor surface.

I always use anti seize on the rotor to hub surface, a little bit goes a long way

Success! I literally just completed changing out both of my front hub assemblies and a test ride. It was amazing the difference!

Thanks nj636 for your assistance and product! You saved me close to $1100 over what I would have paid to Toyota for the same results.

FYI, anyone looking for the bolt to assist in the removal of the rotor, just pull one of the bolts off the air intake where it bolts to the fender well. That worked like a champ and make removal beyond easy.

I'm not sure if this is appropriate or not but I found the following .pdf files invaluable in understanding what I needed to do to complete this task:
    http://tinyurl.com/pyyvhoh
    http://tinyurl.com/qjc5ocz
    http://tinyurl.com/oxlcboo
    http://tinyurl.com/ovomuc5

I'm not a mechanically inclined person but this is a very do-able task. I will add, that I had to rent a 1/2" torque wrench and the 35mm socket for the axel nut. Beyond that, I completed the installation with some very back tools. Total time for me was about 3.5 hours.

Thanks again and Happy New Year!

Thanks guys. I did use anti-seize compound so I should be good with the deadblow hammer and that won't mess up the rotor. Thanks again.
