Isn't this more of a lower ball joint problem?

jesus I hope not. BUT I've been paying close attention to the sound, while driving like an old asian lady to work. Sound goes away on long turns via highway. Symptoms match closer to wheel bearing from what I can tell.

Replicate the scenario where you made the video. Watch the LBJ when you do it. That should tell you pretty quickly.

LBJs in first gens are notoriously bad. Wheel bearings in the 2nd gens are notoriously bad. Does the tire wobble side to side as much as it does up and down?

Got mine, would have been faster if the post office didn't fuck up delivery. Thanks!

    Hey @05Taco4x4 ,

I see the NSK bearings are in. Did I miss an invoice or something?

@PzTank did you change your handle? Not sure why I wouldn't have added you to the list, I sent PMs to everyone on the list. I'll PM you now.

Perfection! Also you win at packing forever. It was like a block of ice!

Package arrived safely. Thanks again @05Taco4x4
The packaging is bizarre, but it's the best possible way to do it imo, without adding a ton more weight.

My mailman was convinced I ordered a big ass rock.

    Looks like a 50lb cake. 20191125_181034.jpg

That’s some slick packaging. I’ve been watching a documentary where they’ve grown mushroom cultures for packing material. Looks exactly like what you’ve got there.

The post office tried to loose mine but they damn sure weren't gonna damage it!

Got mines installed today, man what a world of difference. It's actually so quiet that it makes me suspicious haha.

Glad I took several members advice, mentioned throughout this thread. I had originally planned to change just the hub, and not the inner seal. But I made sure to get one just in case.

Luckily for me, that was a wise move. Because this is what I found, after removing the hub assembly. 20191126_123704.jpg

@05Taco4x4 also mentioned somewhere in this thread, to pick up a lisle seal driver, and 17mm torque adapter. These two items did the trick. I used a long reach open end wrench to tighten the hub bolts, to see how tight I could get it. After which, using a torque adapter, I was surprised how far off I was.

Five thumbs up to the seller!
