Hey all, need a quick sanity check.
When I look up 90304-A0001 (outer seal), it says that it does not fit my 2011 Tacoma 4x4 Sport. I did however find that 90316-A0001 (inner seal) does fit my truck (parts sites and dealer lookup).
Is there alternative outer seal I need that pairs with the inner?

We've got one warm clear day here in VA, and I want to knock this thing out! I've got the bearings/hub assy (thnx @05Taco4x4 for the quick, space travel ready shipment). Just want to confirm the right seals (since I don't want to pull this apart this damn thing again in 30k miles for bad bearing again due to crap getting in the seals).

    Thanks.

Hub/bearing assemblies arrived! Thanks for packaging them so well - New Orleans’ USPS didn’t do any favors trying to be gentle with the box, but the assemblies survived just fine!

You can actually get them on Rock Auto for reasonably cheap.

Loosened the nut behind the wheel. ADS mid travel.
Thanks for the advice. I generally try to stay away from Dorman parts tho. Still looking for some oem ones.

My bearings arrived. Haven't got them opened yet but the box looks to be in surprisingly good shape for the weight of it.

    Thanks again 05taco

Did you check the branding of the hub flanges you just got? ;) Only Dorman parts to avoid are rubber seals and bearings -> for those go with OEM or a major bearing mfr. Metal and plastic parts are fine.

Haven't opened them yet, but I have a good guess as to what they'll say.

Do you know if the Dorman knuckles are identical to the Toyota forgings? They looked different enough from the couple pics I've seen for me to immediately write them off, but I could be mistaken. I have a set of chaos fab gussets that I need to weld to them. I'm not just doing bearings, I'm swapping from a beat stock suspension to a mid travel setup.

Bearings/hubs installed. I also changed the inner seals (on the back of the knuckles) while I was at it. Truck is smooooth and quiet! Surprised I got 101K miles and 14 years out of the original bearings. Thanks, 05Taco4x4!

Aside from the slightly different photo perspective, how do the knuckles look different?

Those look way more similar than the pics I saw.

    Since you asked:

The bend on the bottom of the top ball joint mount is shaped differently.

Next to the sway bar mount, there is a nub on the toyota one, the dorman has a rib that goes up to the bend.

The toyota ones are narrower below the sway bar mount.

The reinforcing rib on the steering arm is different.

So, they are definitely a differently contoured forging.

It's not worth it to me if I have to take the perfectly fit laser cut parts and modify them to line up.

Anyways, thanks for clarifying that they are different.

Sorry OP, I intended to just post one post to ask for what I wanted.

Never underestimate the power (in terms of time, sweat, and frustration) of a 3-prong bearing puller! For reals!
