@05Taco4x4 Received my wheel bearing/hub ASSY. today! I must say, I worked in logistics for 10 years and your packaging is absolutely amazing! Only demerit is the packaging is not reusable!:rofl:

Finally installed both last night and today. Right side axle nut put up a damn good fight, left side took a quarter of the amount of time.

AMAZING the lack of noise difference!! Definitely should have done this sooner!!

I might be ordering a set from you. I have to determine if its my AT tires or the hub. I have 120k on the truck and thinking it’s probably a smart maintenance job to do them soon

I just did mine, replacing the original at 146K and I truly thought the noise was tire created. Damn truck is near silent now.

Same here, purchased my truck with ~70K and always thought was the tires to only find out later it was the bearings

    2007 FJ Cruiser

This will be my first time replacing mine on my 2007 FJ Cruiser and this has me a little confused as I learn by doing generally. Is it 2 seals per side, or just one per side? Your first sentence makes it seem like there are 2 per side. I may just be comprehending it wrong.

In my attached illustration its #10. It also looks like #5 is the same thing. So 2 per side and they are the same part number?

Is it better to get them from Toyota or is a place like Oreillys ok for seals?

    Any help appreciated.

So I finally checked my hubs. I jacked up the truck and the passenger side definitely has a little play when i shake the wheel and when i spin it i hear the noise. Driver side just the noise no play. Can anyone confirm the nut size on a 2010 is it 35mm or 36?

    From 05Taco4x4s first post......

I would assume its the same, so you may want to wait for confirmation as assuming can mess stuff up. lol

5 and 10 are different, 5 is part of the bearing assembly. 10 is inboard side of the steering knuckle and one of the two I reference, the other I reference mates with 10 and is on the end of the CV joint.

Hubs came a day early and safe. Thanks again! Good luck with your manual to auto swap also.

Hood Struts, My version Fogs always ON, Map & Overhead Light Mod,
All is good. Wheel nuts went on without any problems. I too thought the tires were the noise culprit.
Thank you oh mighty Gazoo
