Your truck must be a pavement queen. One of my factory bearings made groaning noises after 26k. Hypothetically it would be covered under the powertrain warranty, but when you're bouncing up rocks on the TW calendar... :notsure:

The OEM Koyo bearings that Toyota installs on the 4Runner and GX have a better inner seal than the OEM NSK.

She is a construction site truck. When it is not driving to a job site it is spending weeks in the mud on undeveloped land. Instead of being abused on occasion, it is abused 5 days a week. This is Toyota truck #9 for me. Each reaching 300k and one at 800k. Only one has had a hub give out sooner.

My 2nd gen's OEM Koyo bearing did get to 72k before turning wobbly, so there's that

So far on my 3rd gen I've had a front diff CV seal leak at 17k (!) and now a transfer case rear flange seal leak at 29k. I've also had a leaf spring front bolt back out and sunvisor screws come loose. Either Toyota quality is slipping or the trails are just hard on the truck.

    Thinner oils certainly don’t help.

And too tick can cause it to puke out of the differential breather.
