Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
a 12.5" wide tire will fit on an 8" wide rim.

I have 15 by 10 m/t classic wheel lock's on now.. and I had 35 12.50s bfg km2s but i dropped back to a 33 12.50 inch yokahoma geolander a/t-s tire.. I was just wondering if i could drop back to a 15 by 8 inch wheel to such as the pro comp 8179s.

To be sure you should check the tire manufacturers website. They list the approved rim widths for each size tire.
