I put my lift on about 2 weeks ago, 3" Old Man Emu with Light Racing UCAs. I knew the truck would be out of alignment so I paid no attention to how it drove after the lift, I got an alignment last Wednesday and the front wheels feel like they are wobbling or vibrating. It only starts to happen at about 25+mph. at first I thought maybe the lug nuts weren't tight so I tightend them tonight and drove down the road and it's still there. I have the stock rims and tires so I marked tires being unbalanced off the list. Any suggestions? My alignment is within spec as well. Would a differential drop help?

Wobbling or shaking is a balance issue, get them re balanced. You can also try rotating the tires to see if it makes a difference.

Diff drop will do you no good on a 2nd gen.

Also, get your tires road force balanced.

Does your wheels and steering wheel shake? How severe? Who installed the lift?

I installed the lift at the garage on post. No nothing shakes but you can feel it in the steering wheel sort of like a speed wobble feel on a sakteboard if that makes any since, or almost like something is rubbing at times. But I can't see where anything is rubbing, had the wife sit in the truck and turn the steering wheel at full lock to both sides.

How long does the vibration last? Did you add shims to the rear springs or have you ruled out a driveline vibration?

it starts at about 25mph then once I get up to about 40 or 45 it goes away (i don't really go over 40 on post so I notice it a lot going to and from work and it's starting to get on my nerves and worry me). No shims installed. Feels like it's mostly coming from the front left but that could also be because I'm sitting in the front left, so it definitely seems to be the front end.

I'm just running the stock Sport tires that came with the truck though. I'm gonna try rotating them tomorrow see what happens, knock the easy one off the list first. But if I pay to get them balanced and that doesn't help then I guess I'll have to deal with it, getting new tires isn't an option at the moment. Plus they only have 7,500 miles on them.

Try putting it in 4hi and see if the vibrations stop or change, it may feel like it comes up front but still could be a driveline issue. If it is still there and you are certain it's up front, then I would make sure my tires were balanced and aligned

drove around the block 3 times in 4hi going as fast as 50mph didn't feel it. put it back in 2wd drive and it's gone, I'm thinking this is to good to be true. drove around the block three times in 2wd reaching 60mph and didn't feel it at all. I don't know if this is a temporary fix but thanks for recommending testing it in 4hi!
