I attached the inner edge of the ABS with one factory bolt plus a few self drilling screws to hold it in place. The ABS is flexible enough that you can pull it down slightly to see where your tabs are. I used self drilling screws to attach to the tabs as well so I wouldn't have to try to line up with pre-drilled holes.

I used some regular galvanized sheet metal made for ductwork. I’ll seam seal the inside edges and do a couple coats of rubberized spray to keep the noise down. My intake is relocated to the cowl so I can seal it up tight.

I racked my brain trying to figure out how to keep the plastic fenders from rattling and eventually decided to spray foam it. Sounds ghetto, but I’m pleasantly surprised so far. No pictures yet, but it’s very solid and had the added benefit of pushing them out just enough to help cover the tire a bit more. Nothing extreme, probably how it was before I cut them and the lost the original support, but it helps. I’ll trim it flush and rubber coat it.

Do you have photo of the tabs you left after the cut?

Edit: I see the photos. It looks great. I still don’t understand where you attach the liner closer to the engine. Can you still use the shitty plastic ones?

I’m currently using this clear poster board to mock up the liner.

Did you put those little rectangular pieces between the fender and flare?

Those look great. I've seen some people bend the tabs outward towards the flares. You could flip these if the bend is below the edge of the fender and have a bit more rigidity to your liners since they would be fastened further to the outer most edge.

Thanks. The L brackets are pliable, so I might bend them a bit tonight when I start marking and cutting the template. I still haven’t decided how to attack the other side of the ABS yet, but since I folded the pinch weld outside, I think I can stuff the lower part in there.

Just unbolt and flip em! That pinch weld idea is good.. might chatter around in there with vibrations tho.

I don’t want to flip them. The ABS is pretty rigid, so I don’t think that’ll be a problem. Worse case, I’ll make the holes a little bigger a recess the L brackets a little more. I think it’ll look cleaner that way and still perform well. I guess Ill find out soon.

Those are the little foam pieces attached inside the flare. I cut them off and used them as a brace between flare and fender.

I installed some liners a few weeks back, came out ok, damn wind still popping a clip or two though.

Done by me: decals, plastidip, and vinyl. More to come. Not done by me: Icon front/rear suspension; Total Chaos UCA’s; Method wheels/34” Falken tires; Prinsu cab rack/LED light bar; V1Air compressor piped to a 2.5 gallon underbed tank; Pelfreybilt front/rear bumpers; Smittybilt front winch.
Love watching Karl’s videos. Talk about a wealth of knowledge! Dude makes me want to work sheet metal and I’ve barely touched any machining!

I went to welding school with him for my first year haha. I saw his channel and was on the second video when I realized who it was. He's an artist, for sure.
