I am thinking this is about the perfect look for what I am shooting for. I am just trying to figure out exactly what you did. After reading through the thread I am still a little lost...I know you did the Bilstein 5100 shocks all the way around and you installed the Wheelers 1.75" kit but I don't completely understand what you did with the leaf springs?

Sorry for the ignorance but I come from an import car backround and I have never dealt with leafs.

It's called an AAL. Add-A-Leaf. It basically doubles the size of the leaf pack by adding a few more leaf springs to the existing leaf spring pack. It'a actually very straight forward. Much more simple than you are making it out to be. :)

LOL I tend to do that. I just didn't know what AAL stood for, so I got confuzzled. Thanks for the clearification.

OP, great look. One question, I understand that you went with new shocks all the way around, technically could one get away with using the stock shocks in the rear with the wheelers progressive AAL kit?

what I don't get is, if the spacers and blocks are so bad, why do all the highly touted online sellers still carry them? I mean, if it is really so bad, any reputable seller would not be carrying them no? I wonder if the sellers make more (higher margin) on new springs, shocks, leafs than spacers and blocks. or maybe not. a piece of metal block for $60 or more, the margin has to be pretty high.

You can technically do that, but the shocks will bottom out more offroad and when hauling/towing, so they will wear out eventually and could blow up..I've read stories on here lol. The rear 5100 are cheap and give a better ride

Spacers work and are fine for on road use, but they make the ride harsher. Also, if you go offroad, spacers extend the travel of the shock down past its limits, therefore bottoming it out more. Also it restricts up-travel, so if you hit hard enough, it will bend the coilover
