Has anyone here used springs from Wheelers before? Im not really looking to lift my truck and i understand that going to a heavy duty spring will lift to some extent. Im wondering if it will be more than 1"?

Maybe you have another suggestion for replacing crap stock springs? Ones that are not lift springs?

I have a 2006 trd offroad double cab v6 2wd with roof height topper.

Did you ever order them? How did they work out for you? I just ordered a set this week along with Bilstein 5125's and the timber bump stops. I'll be happy to see my old springs go away.

I called Wheeler's the other week because I didn't see the 5 leaf pack on their website any more and they told me it's no longer available for 2nd gens. :notsure:

Edit - OK what the hell, I see it back on their website now.

    830- after shipping and handling.
That was for the 5 leaf hd springs and a set of the timbren bump stops.
I ordered them last monday and they are due for delivery next monday. Also ordered a set of bilstein 5125's from Amazon for 71.96 each. They were cheaper doing it that way.

    Yep! Exactly.
    But, what can you do?
Especially when you need a part to fix your truck.

Any of the places that you would order springs from are high in shipping.

    For sure
Grab some before and after measurements when you get them on.
I was going to go 8 leaf but everything I have seen they are much higher lift than advertised.

I really hope so. I was skeptical, but reviews said it was the way to go. I almost went with the wheelers brand which is about half the price.

I'll add that in as a goal. From what the guys at wheelers told me was to expect about 2" of lift with the 5 leafs.
But, to clarify, they said that I would get that because my current springs are in really bad shape.
I'm guessing from other posts that they are supposed to be flat. But they appear a little worse off than that.
    LOL imagine a frown!

At first considered allpro's but I didn't need 4" of lift. And that's what said to expect.
I did look at the 8 leafs by Wheeler's but decided against them because of this:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Due to removal of the factory overload spring there may be a slight decrease in gross max weight handling capability over the stock leaf packs, we find they handle weight well.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I do periodically haul stuff, so that won't work for me.

Trip out, all that info is new..
It used to talk about how it would give you an aprox lift range of like 2” and how you could add their extra leafs to it.

It does say you can expect 2" of lift. But, the downside is you can't carry as much. Which is why I avoided it. If you didn't carry weight. It would probably work out pretty well for you. All depends on your application I guess.

Yeah but after some digging around people are actually getting almost 3 inches with the 8 leaf. For needing that much lift and extra load capacity dakars seem like a better and cheaper option.cant wait to see the numbers you get from the 5 leaf

Me too! I'm not holding out for a lot of lift. If it's stable and can hold a trailer without dragging down the rear end. I'd be happy. If I can get home while it's daylight today I'll get a tape measure and see what it is now. Then next week when it's done we will know what the difference is. The guys at Wheeler told me under normal conditions I would only expect to see an inch, maybe 1.5" at most. I never looked at dakar's because I didn't know anything about them.
