Wheelers are okay but to soft my opinion and if your planning to carry alot of weight the timbern help with that to. Absorb impact pretty well. Im running front and rear timbern best investment.

I have a trip coming up. And I will be pulling a small uhaul trailer to Maryland. Not sure if it will be a 5x8 or 6x12 carrying about a 1 bedroom apartment full of stuff. The basics anyway. As long as it can do that and give out. I'm in good shape.

Currently from the top of my tire to the fender edge is 6 3/4 inch on both sides.

I got the 8 pack, seem perfect for me!! Soft without being too soft, still hold a fair amount of weight. If your going to be running over 400lbs constantly, you should get the hd pack. I'm running 24.5 inches hub to fender unloaded, just sliders.with 350lbs they measure 23 inches hub to fender. They are still breaking in, but better than the stock with aal by far.

That's good to hear! I ordered the 5 leaf HD pack. It is "supposed" to be here on Monday. I also ordered a set of the Bilstein 5125's to go along with them. Supposed to drop it off Monday to get everything installed. I would have loved to do it myself. But my week is all tied up, and I need to get this done.

I think you'll be happy! I went with the wheelers bump stops as I don't haul much weight often. Hard to tell if I ever bottom out they are so soft!! Report back your center hub to fender measurements and make sure they are installed right, they are right left specific!!!

I noticed that the leaf packs were l/r specific. I went with the Timbren bump stops. But I had seriously considered getting the Wheelers version. After I get settled in Maryland, I plan to work on the front to level it out a bit.

Thanks! When I ordered the rear stuff or the Tacoma, I also asked them about the front. They recommended a specific strut and spring set that would match the front to the back. And for a little extra they will go ahead and configure/build the set so that when I get them all I will need to do is remove the old strut, install the new and get the front end aligned. This will save me from needing a spring compressor.

The recommendation that Wheelers gave me was for OME 2885 coils and Bilstein C477 struts. They said this should provide about 2.25" - 2.5" of lift.

That's what I should have done from the beginning, but I got in on a fox group buy, that in the end really hasn't saved me money. Live and learn!!!

Fox shocks/struts are nice and all around a better quality than the Bilstein's. With everything else going on, I didn't want to spend the extra money on them at least right now anyway. I'll have to revisit that in a couple of years and then do a complete swap over to fox.

Everything came in and I dropped it off at the shop today. Hopefully tomorrow evening I'll get it back.
    Note:
I'm really hoping these springs will work out and do the job.
However, If I had it to do over again. I would have ordered from Headstrong Off-Road. I found out about this Company earlier today looking through TW. They offer free shipping on springs anywhere in the lower 48. They are a Vendor here on TW. "Maybe" they would have been a bit cheaper. At this point, I don't really want to know.

Got it back today, did a quick measurement the same way I did last time. A hair short of 8 3/4 inch on both sides. Rides much firmer than it did previously. Definitely a huge improvement.

What's the mid hub to fender height? That seems to be the norm as it takes tire difference out of the equation!

That's a good question! I'll have to check that tomorrow.
But! probably doesn't make a difference but the tires are the bone stock 16" variety.
I thought it was kind of odd when I picked it up because I could see the side of the rear shock when I pulled up in the parking lot.
That is the first time I ever saw that, at least from that angle anyway.

Next, I'm going to have to focus on the front. I think it would look and probably ride better if it were leveled out some.

If I could make it home when it's still daylight I'd take some pics and post them.
