If people are going out Thursday night I probably will too. Night runs are so fun. Maybe I'll finally get my light bar hooked up for it.

I prefer night runs. Even with my fancy stock lighting. The shadows helps tremendously and I find usually I cover ground quicker at night. I heard someone say day runs are for pictures, and night runs are for covering ground. I find that to be true imo

Negative. They wont all be on a common switch. Shane has a killer setup where his side lights are on. Makes things super awesome to follow and also when he has passenger (his kids) they can see everything to the sides. We as drivers forget about that with passengers sometimes. Passengers like to look around. Not just straight ahead.

I have 4 of the Kawell 4 inch led lights waiting to be installed to the sides of my prinsu. The SPOD, while not cheap, is a game changer. There's the bussman and others that work well, too. I just know the guys at SPOD and they're awesome guys and will get my dough personally.

Got a new 40" single row on the prinsu. Gotta have an overhead light if your going 60mph+ at night. When I was in Ocotillo using my hid headlights and a 20" light bar in the bumper I just couldn't see far enough to feel safe. Excited to see the difference with the light bar up top.

I'll bring up the caboose I'm not going 60 at night. There's enough ruts in certain areas I don't want to meet and greet.

Do you get a glare off your hood with that?

have heard you do if the paint on the hood isn’t black

Ive got bar mounts for a roof bar but debating if I should go that route strictly because of the glare:notsure:

I'll let you know how it goes. Haven't wired it yet. It's kind of tucked into the prinsu so I don't think it will hit the hood.

from what i've read the prinsu will block the light to the hood. but worst case just put on a hood blackout, made a bid difference on my truck.

Hey Steve... Did you ever unlock your ham? I just unlocked my kenwood and I can broadcast and receive on 151.625 (and other MARS channels) The mod was pretty easy, just unsoldered a wire and a little jumper. Here are the instructions for your model http://www.clarksons.org/AmateurRadio/FT-7900r extended transmit.htm

I had to back up my radio before I performed this because my radio performed a factory reset once I plugged it back in.

    I hope this helps.

I use the software made for the Kenwood produced by RT Systems. I know Yeasu has something similar. The software helps you program your radio for personal touches like lights and messages, more importantly repeaters and frequencies.
