Hey guys, I just installed these bumpstops in the rear and it seams like they are limiting travel way too much? Any solutions that others have done too keep them closer to a stock height? Is there a reason I would want to limits all that suspension travel??

I just installed mine not too long ago and thought the same thing at first. I'm pretty sure these compress quite a bit, so your travel isn't limited right when it hits the bump. I'd like to believe that there's a solid inch of compression available, if needed.

If someone else could chime in that would be awesome.

That's how they're designed. They're softer to absorb hits better, so therefore taller.

So I have a 2.5" ads lift and would like to upgrade my bumps so I don't bottom out when getting rowdy. Do I need a spacer or should the superbumps be fine by themselves?

That’s specific to your application, but generally the fronts don’t need spacers.

Is there any reason why the 2nd gen SuperBumps for the front wouldn’t work on a 1st Gen? I noticed they make only the rears for 1st gen but the stock second gen bump stop appear to be the same. Can anyone confirm? @Wheeler's Off-Road Inc

The way the bump stops are mounted on the 1st Gen's limits the lifetime of them due to hitting at an angle. So they eventually tear and fall off due to the side load pressure when being engaged. They work. But just don't last as long as they should. So we don't technically sell them for the 1st Gens unfortunately.

Thanks for the fast and honest response. I’ll definitely be making a purchase in the near future.
