Just throwing this out there....wanted to give my experience with Wheelers OffRoad. I called to see if they did any free shipping on Old Man Emu stuff....no, just King and some others...so I said ok, it's their biz...So I ended up ordering from 4Wheel Parts my 886 coils and Extra Dakar leaf for my Dakars that I already have installed. FREE Shipping and it was here in 3 days from California...I'm in Virginia. Just saying.....

Long story short...All I needed was the OME Carrier bearing rear drive space spacer (FK29) some Wheelers bushings for my Dakar pack, and some OME ubolts. That's it. Ordered on 4/20. Joe emails me said they ran out of the bushings..I replied back no worries, if the OME ones are in stock or if there is going to be a long wait, please lets just use the OME bushings. He states they will be in early next week. So I get an email on 4/23, says they're in, it will be going out tomorrow... 4/24. So call today, because I've already pushed my install back....lady states it hasn't gone out yet, it will go out today. I was a tad frustrated..and I canceled my order. Should have went to Headstrong Offroad from the get go.

This is just my .02...I have emails and correspondence to back up my claims. First world problems??? Absolutely. I was disappointed since people really recommended them to me. Two thumbs down. I've been on this community for some time now...I've owned 4 Tacomas, and two 4Runners...and have wheeled them all...so I'm not just some joe new guy ranting. Just like to give positive or negative feedback.

Ive ordered from wheelers in the past and they have good products but the cost of shipping from them is insane (also crazy the consumer pays for shipping now adays). Heard nothing but good things about headstrong. 4wheelparts also has been great for me.

The consumer always has paid, and always will, for shipping. If it's not "extra", it's worked into the cost of the item. Those of us who live relatively close to wheeler's pay a little less for shipping than those who live a greater distance from them.

That said, I buy from both Wheeler's and Headstrong. They're both excellent vendors.

Wheelers is consistently the cheapest price and lowest cost shipping for anything I want in Alaska.

Well it's a no brainer and don't get it twisted.....both Wheelers and 4Wheel Parts had the same exact price for the OME 2886 coils at $167.....except 4Wheel parts was free shipping...so your meme makes no sense. And Wheelers didn't do free shipping on OME stuff but did for others....Either way....my point in my post was my unfavorable experience in getting 3 small tiny pieces that still were not shipped today.

My gripe is not over FREE SHIPPING.

So not sure this make sense in my case. 4Wheel Parts and Wheelers were the same price but 4Wheel Parts had free shipping.....
But once again, my gripe was not about free shipping.

I was looking at ordering parts form Wheeler's today actually...know I'm rethinking that thought.

They are cheap though so that's why I'm still considering them since I am on a budget. But everyone says headstrong is the best so I have choices to make

They were always nice...don't get me wrong...but when you tell me you're shipping my stuff out, and I call 7 days later and they say oh, it hasn't been shipped yet it's going out today, that's when I have an issue. My time is valuable working two jobs and family time....I have to schedule things.

It’s all about the volume of sales when it comes to pricing and the option of free shipping at the same price. A small shop usually can’t afford to lower profit margins in exchange for higher sales volumes like a large national chain can.

That's fine, but my gripe is not about the free shipping. I wish people would actually comprehend my gripe. sigh...

and I get it...that's why I ordered what I did from Wheelers....because I like the small guy too. 4Wheel parts didn't have the FK29 and I really wanted the Wheeler's Bushings and the UBolts.

Would you rather they just canceled your order because it wasn’t on stock?

It sounds like you’re mad because you are impatient, want what you order immediately, and don’t want to pay shipping on your online purchases.

Maybe shop on Amazon from now on?

OP has been pretty clear that the irritation was caused by whoever he was talking to 4/23 telling him parts were shipping out 4/24 but as of 5/1 they still hadn't shipped.

Well they helped me out with shipping so I just ordered my stuff from them. Very nice like the OP said so we will see what happens. Luckily I'm in no hurry so should be solid.

I ordered 2 sets of extended rear brake lines from Wheelers. The first set came standard length and I have no idea what they were supposed to fit. When I called they sent me another set. Again it was incorrect so I just gave up and have 2 sets of brand new brake lines that do me no good sitting in the garage. I did try them again later for a small purchase and all went well
