@Icepuck72 Why didn’t you follow up with them sooner when you noticed you didn’t get a tracking confirmation 4/24?

I understand your gripe, but it seems petty.

Wheelers will always earn my business. No CA sales tax, some of the cheapest prices around, and superb customer service.

    Hey Mark,
HUGE apologies for the frustration, confusion, and lack of customer service here with the order you had to cancel this morning. Although being a very small business, we always try to perform better than others. And what happened with your order is simply not that case one bit. So we want to send a straight forward apology to you for having to deal with the delay due to lack of experience in our warehouse and misplacing your order. We probably know the answer: But if you have any future parts needs, simply send me (Josh) a PM here and I will definitely get you taken care of the best we can on discounts off of parts and shipping to hopefully someday make this wrong a right.

Way to own it Josh @Wheeler's Off-Road Inc. You guys are clearly doing something right.

The $75 in shipping to my house on a set of Dakars buys a lot of candy compared to other vendors that are able to sell for the same price and ship for free :anonymous:

Very true. To be honest here: We have gone to bat with our local UPS rep to no avail on those dang things. FEDEX won't return our calls. Amazon is killing small businesses while other companies are literally losing money shipping those things trying to compete. It is just one of those things we can't win on. :notsure:

I bought a single aal that's on my truck and a set of the 8 leaf pack that hasn't gone on my truck yet, maybe some day. Shipping wasn't cheap but I knew that before ordering.

What's sad is that your reading comprehension is lacking. I just wanted communication. That's all. I didn't even care about the shipping I paid on the 3 small items which was around 25 bucks. If a company states it will be going out on the 24th, I expect it to be. I understand things happen...but I just wanted communication. 2 emails and finally a call and it still hadn't shipped. So big props to them for taking ownership of their miscue...just for that I will try them again if I need anything.

probably should have?? But I received a personal email from Josh on 4/23 stating it would be going out the next day. I took it for what it was worth I suppose. For now on I will follow up more thoroughly.

Josh - takes a huge pride swallow to admit wrong...I understand things happen. Just from this post I will try you guys again when I need something which won't be too long from now. Not looking for any special discounts...I know you need to run a business.

Nobody wants to be the loss leader so I understand having to charge shipping.

    I read just fine.
What you don’t understand is that I had the exact same issue with them.
Part not in stock, told it would go out a certain time, didn’t go out till a week later.
But I didn’t start a thread to light them up over it.
Because like someone else said, it’s petty

No, you're still not comprehending. I had absolutely no problem with the part being out of stock...as mentioned in my initial post. I asked him if it would be a long time, otherwise I would use the OME bushings rather than the Wheeler ones. He stated it would be in early next week 23rd which is fine with me...which they were and I had absolutely no problem with that, but my order was never sent for some miscues in their warehouse as he had mentioned. If you think that is petty...fine...I have tight schedules. Also mentioned, I'm definitely going to use them again because of his taking ownership of the issue. If anything, this post has shown how upstanding they are as a company.

I’ve always had good experiences with wheelers. Unfortunately, or fortunately, I work 10 mins from Toytec, so they’ve gotten my business as of late (my poor bank account).

I too have had good experiences although it seems like more often then not, they are out of stock and there is a week delay. That always sucks.

Murphy's Law - When you have a project planned and order parts there will always be something that falls through the cracks... in proportional wait time to the rush you're in...

Of course....but when they say it is going out the next day, then 7 days later I call it is still sitting there....that's my issue. Not that they were delayed with the parts.

Over the past year and a half I have experienced the law interfering in my build plans in numerous ways. Somehow, someway the law finds a way to laugh in the face of schedules. :frusty: :turtleride:
