    Hey

I found some wheels i was finally interested in. First off what do you guys think about them? And second off should i get 18s or 20s? I do plan on lifting the truck 3 inches. The only think i dont like is the Nascar along the lip of the rims but i love the design and the black accents. BTW i have a white 08 double cab.

If you don't like the Nascar on the edges keep looking man- I know there are rims out there that will make you happy and WON'T say Nascar on them.

As far as tire size- Are you going for a street truck or an offroad truck? Street- Get some 20's with nice lo-pro tires and stuff them way into the wheel wells and it'll look good. Going off road- I'd get 16's and get some big meat tires- More forgiving and more grip.

It's all about what you want to do and how you want it to ride...

I have a 08 with the sport package and went with the 20's, so glad I did. No problems with rubbing and the 20's were cheaper than the 18's and had a bigger selection. I too was looking at 18's and 20's when someone on the forum said go with the 20's. never been sorry.

yeah if the nascar wasnt on the lip of the rim, they'd be on my truck right now, its hard to find a set of wheels im so darn picky lol.

and i am going for more look on my truck, its a daily driver obviously and ill most likely take them off during winter, so i'm thinkin ill go with 20s they arent that much more expensive. i just now gotta find the right chrome w/ black accents wheel.

I personally have 20's on mine but kinda regret not getting the 18s since I want to add the 3" lift... I think 18s would look better with the lift. Without the lift the 20's look sweet... Do some serious thinking before purchase... How soon are you looking at adding the lift?

I had the same problem, couldnt decide which size wheels to get. Finally went w/ the 18's (Eagle Alloy 140 series in superblack finish) 18x10 w/ 4.5 BS. Then went with 33x12.5x18 Kumhos MT.

I have the Pro Comp 6in Lift on mine. Go w/ the 18's you wont regret it:D

Do you have any rubbing issues with your tires?

I was looking at those wheels as well except in black. Looks good.

Once mud flaps were removed, no rubbing at all (still stock height)

american racing doesnt have the program where you can select to see them on a toyota so i dont want to say i like the wheel buy them and them look awful. Like i said ir eallly like the ones in my first post but damn them for saying freaking nascar on them!

i want something chrome with black accents, and there isnt much of a choice in 18s that is. preferably a 6 spoke design.

roggs01, I got the same truck and color, looks awesome! did the wheels raise your truck height at all or does is still sit the same? I'm gonna put 20's on mine but don't want to install i lift kit.

I would just stay with 16s or 17s. Just looks more like a truck with a smaller wheel/more rubber. Thats just my opinion, and everyone has their own. But if I had to pick id say 18s. Good luck hope it all works out and post pictures when its done !

I put 18's on my 09 Tacoma, regular cab (5 Lug). I have the stock suspension and it rides beautifully! Does not look too bling-bling, looks aggressive enough and does not over power the look of the truck. I still have enough rubber to go camping, and to be comfortable on the street! Hope this helps you!
