When is it "time" to beef up coilover springs? And which ones?

My front suspension are the Icon 2.5 coilovers w/ remote reservoirs. Original springs, which I believe are 650lb. I know Icon offers a 700lb spring, and when I originally inquired about that, Icon's reps told me that with no extra weight up front, the truck will ride like a dumptruck over a railroad.

In the next few months I'll be adding 262lbs of weight up front (low-profile bumper, winch, three steel skid plates), and I also have sliders that have been on since before the suspension upgrade.

Is this the time to upgrade front springs? If so, what would you suggest? There are plenty of non-Icon products out there that should work (Bilstein comes to mind, and I think has some options around 680lbs), but I don't mind buying the Icon springs, either.

My coilovers are currently set at 1 7/8" of lift, with a little more preload adjustment left before I reach the maximum preload (according to Icon's recommendations).

I would like to keep my front ride height at about where it is now, and I suspect the extra weight being added in the next few months will drop me from 0.5-1". I will also soon be installing All Pro expedition leafs in the rear (already have them) and getting an alignment done, so I figure if I'll need new springs soon, I may as well get them now and do a single alignment vs having to do a second one down the road.

    Thoughts? Recommendations?

For the additional weight, the 14x700 coils would be the next step in maintaining ride height without excessive pre-load dialed in.

Do you think the 260lb of extra weight are a good match for the 700lb springs? I'm a bit concerned about making the truck too stiff.

It's will be fine. You need 700lbs for that weight

Good stuff. Also spoke w/ ICON and they recommended the same thing - 700lb coils.

Just ordered from Wheeler's. @YotaDan - can you guys make sure to send me the PayPal invoice for this order, as well as the one I placed yesterday? Still haven't gotten one for yesterday's order and would like to pay (for both).
