Changed the oil today. Drain plug wasnt on super tight like I was expecting, but I had to remove the engine cover to get a gorilla grip on the filter. Oil came out black, no chunks, nothing out of the ordinary. If anything, it makes me feel good. Took a while to find the srain plug though. Located just ahead where of the engine/tranny. 14mm

So far I've added an Advance folding bed cover and since removed it. Gave it to my son in Maine, he has an 05 2wd. GT perfect fit seat covers. Weathertech floor mats and window vent visors. Waag center brush/grill guard. Hose clamp tailgate mod. Turned off the seat belt chime. Added Ultra-Gauge. Trailer hitch. Softopper. Replaced sun visors with slide out style. Toyota bed extender. Had Firestone Destinations and now Michelin LTX AT2 in stock size. More mods to come; Fog lights, locking storage in bed, intermittent wipers. Now looking for Radio/HU upgrade. and maybe a lift way down the road.
Powertrain warranty. Dealer is standing behind it beyond the Toyota 5yr/60K mile deal.

I can't the whole document in the frame and visible. Sorry it took me a few days. Gotta pay the bills.

If U R going to keep your Tacoma do what you think best. If you are going to trade it in every 3 years do what the dealer thinks best. It's best for the dealer if you trade it in every 3 years. What is best for you ? I know what I'd do.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
With my 2011 4 cylinder, I did the first at 3k. Now I do them at 5k, I did let one go for 10k, but that was because I just never got around to doing it. The oil was still pretty clean, wasn't entirely blackened and still honey brown in color and smelled new.

Did my first change on my V6 on Friday at a shade under 1,300 miles. Swapped to M1 5w-30 which I will have changed again at 5,000 miles to get onto the Toyota Care 5,000 mile interval.

I'm sure I could stretch it further, but I'm fine with 5,000 intervals. I change my car (STi) between 3,400-3,750 miles with Castrol Syntec 0w-30. I figure it's cheap insurance.
