I'm wanting to find a group (or individuals) who like to go to Tahuya.
I've been there before, but that was when I rode quads, so.
My son and I are ready to go. We would like to meet up with someone who knows their way around the place, show us around. We're up for some fun.

I don't do Facebook, just so you know.

Have a long bed? It's gonna suck. Been there and it's not ideal for long beds.....

    Nope. This is the toy.
I don't have plans to beat the thing, I just want to have some fun with it.
Would it be wise, to get some Rock Sliders first?
    I already christened it.
The right back door, and just behind, on the bottom, made me sick, because it was dent free.

I'd be down to go. Always looking for groups/individuals go to with. I go down there about once a month (usually solo) and have all the trail GPS tracks on my phone.

There are some definite trails where sliders would be recommended. Majority of the stuff out there you'd be fine with but can always go around or skip a hard trail. I go with my predator steps on and they catch on everything.

    Copy that, on the sliders.

I'm in - Lets go. If we can arrange a day.
    This Saturday?

I can't this weekend or next. I'm actually getting my weld on sliders put on on this Saturday and camping the next weekend.

I’ve been wanting to go out there but I’ve never been myself. I’m in a stock truck with no sliders yet and wasn’t sure if I’d be able to make it without messing something up. If someone who knows the place can lead and help avoid the hard stuff I’m down to go.

I've been checking the place out, looking at routes in Google Earth. All "technical areas" look to have a bypass route. For what that's worth.
I can zoom right in-to almost ground level, and see where there are placements of large rocks and logs, but seeing any detail is a guess at best.

    Someone said longbed at Tahuya?
Not ideal unless you like scraping. There was also this one sharp righthand turn downhill next to rocks and/or trees that was sketch AF. And an endless portion of moguls that people looked at me like I was nuts as they passed on their 4wheelers.

Picked up my Discovery Pass today, just to have it.
    Fairly easy stuff.

A lot of this looks gnarly. But fun. Except for the very end of the video.

We went through this area as well. It was well broken in.

First youtube video, 16 minute mark is the part I talked about. Doesn't come out on camera as being nuts, but I was also solo so no spotters. I also don't know what I'm doing :p

Stock susp, yeah, you wanted to go pretty badly, solo my friend.
I don't know what I'm doing either. And at this point, I'm not sure my OME lift was a wise decision. Sway bar removed as well. I guess I'll find out, eventually!!

Also, go figure the part I was scraping, I had to go over 3 times due to getting lost lol. Exhaust relocate, skidplates and sliders later.... But still no suspension lift.

Other things to do this weekend unfortunately. Have fun!

My son and I made it to the Elfendahl Pass-Staging area at 9am.
No Maps on-site, aside from on the reader board.
We aired down (I'm running 12psi) and hit the trails.
The abilities of my truck, impressed the heck out of me.
    It was a fun day.

All in all, we liked the West Loop the best.
There were LOTS of other rigs, driving by on the lower (S.Spillman) road, but none to follow our lead.

My experiencing the Tahuya 4x4 Trails, in my 2004 DblCab TRD-OR, and ownin a 2021 of the same, there is no way I would go with a 3rd gen, where I did in my 1st Gen. The 3rd Gen is far too wide.

    Looks like you had fun!

Also, your 3rd gen would fit fine, trust me
