Where did your avatar name come from?

How did you come up with your avatar name? I'll go first. My dad would never buy a foreign car. He used to say if you have a foreign car and get a flat tire, they don't come with a spare tire, a little Japanese guy would pop out of the trunk with a rickshaw and take you the rest of the way. The Tacoma was my first foreign car. Hence Rickshaw was born

 

When I was working a Job at Betlehem Steel Burns Harbor in the eighties

On load out after the job was finished I was taking the 45' Flatbed trailer to the next job The Coworkers went to Kmart bought a cheap tent and pitched it on a free space on the trailer.

They started calling me Bivouac the nick name stuck around

 

I have been a part of the VW community for a long time and have always enjoyed the A2 or Mk2 VW Gti’s and Jetta’s. The play on words with “a too low vw” and the A2 chassis made sense.

I love being in the outdoors. Doesn’t matter what I’m doing out there. Fishing, hunting, hiking, camping, driving, photography, metal detecting, mushroom ID’ing, and gold panning are just a few of the things I like to do while outdoors.
