It's in the gas tank, built in with the sending unit and fuel pump if I'm not mistaken.

Is it showing signs of being clogged?

I only ask because those should be good for about a half million miles.

I figured out what it was today. Haven't used A/C yet this year until recently and forgot what a strain it puts on the engine when it kicks in. It did this while at the same time I was driving into a headwind. All together it felt like the clutch was slipping or engine was missing but it was just being a 4 cyl.
