    That sucks!

    Stock or upgraded? New/used?

Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road hooked me up with a great set.

It won’t unfortunately. The eyes end-to-end are completely different from a 1st gen.

SD truck springs is where I got my stock replacements. 1 year warranty too. If you call, tell them your a first time customer and they may give you a discount code. The springs ride nice and I even bought an add a leaf and installed that too. Just be prepared to cut and replace every bolt that holds those things on as everything will be seized.

    OME and worth every penny.
OP, you should give a rough location of where you live. Many of us have our old stuff laying around in case someone needs it.
Actually, I've had a few people want my old springs but they also wanted me to install them so they still sit there.

I would avoid going with General Springs. Not happy with mine.

Instead of hijacking a thread I figured I'd comment here. My leafs are shot along with the shocks. I have the 5100's on the front I think on the second lowest setting. I also tow about once a week so want something a little more robust than stock. Any suggestions? Also I am in Upstate SC.

Unless you're hauling a lot of weight all the time and do pretty rough off-roading I'd suggest Deaver J59's. That's what I bought and they are real nice. The only complaint I have with them are that the black paint they put on them came off in about two months so they rusted really fast. That really doesn't mean anything if they are made out of quality steel. Surface rust isn't a problem. Rust that eats cheap steel in half is. So far, so good after two Wyoming winters.

I've read recently on this forum of people having serious squeaking issues with the Deavers. Mine have never made a sound except for the 2 times I decided to hose them down with Fluid Film as I was doing the rest of the underside which I do every year. Why would Fluid Film, a lubricant, cause my Deavers to squeak loud enough to wake the dead? I have no freakin' idea but it did so I don't spray anything on them and they stay quiet. I tried it twice, by the way, and both times they squeaked for a good two weeks until it rained or something else washed it off.

I suspect my truck will ride even better once I replace the 1" longer rear shackles with stock height shackles. I screwed up when I ordered the shackles but once I had them I figured why not put them on. I don't recommend longer shackles for a basic, mild off-road, DD with J59's. I got more lift than I wanted out back because of that. The J59's alone will give around 1-1.5" which is more than I needed to start with.

I've got about 400+ pounds in my bed pretty much year round counting the shell and I don't even know it's back there. Even with around 750 lbs I never knew it was back there. It just rode better. From what I've read, Deaver J59's don't handle real heavy weight like over 500 lbs well when off roading regularly but I've never experienced that. Personally, I'd say up close to 1000 lbs would more likely be they're limit for lots of hard off roading from my experience.

If I remember correctly my J59's were $600 from Wheeler's Off Road. You get what you pay for. So far, I'm happy.
