Does anyone know where i can get maps printed for free? I'm looking for Topographic maps in MGRS. nothing specific. I just do a lot of hiking and i cant find anywhere on the internet to print them for free. I used to have a Mytopo.com map pass but they raised the prices and i don't want to pay again. so any websites to customize and print maps for free?

I'd say the library, but I guess you're shooting for not having to leave the house.

The USGS is currently undertaking releasing all topo maps in geoPDF form under a project known as "The National Map".

You can download them from here.

    http://viewer.nationalmap.gov/basic/

If you want to use these maps for more than just printing them out you will need to convert them to a usable format for your device. I currently use back country navigator and it uses the RMAP database format for prebuilt maps. I've written a bash script that allows me to download the maps from above and convert them for use in Back Country Navigator which I use on my tablet in the truck.
