I have a long 6 day weekend coming up and was wondering where in the mid atlantic states to go for a leisurely overlanding trip? I see a lot of pics of guys in the desert and mountain states overlanding on trails, and I cant think of anything like that in this part of the country.

Seeing how long I can keep stock(ish)
I am not sure exactly what you are after. When I was stationed on VaBch, we would go stay @ Arrowhead (I think that is what it was called), and wheel in Uwharrie Natl Forest

Been to Tellico, but, I hear that is closed now

Not really overland, but I recall driving along the C and D Canal Towpath where Delaware Rte. 9 (a scenic drive) crosses it. Or maybe I was on my bicycle. 1992 is getting to be a long time ago....
