I hate to rename the TAC-TOY but it feels more like a Gutless Wonder after all the weight I've added. Not to mention the 11-10 MPG I'm averaging...

Who will be the first, if anyone, to offer a Supercharger or Turbo kit for the Atkinson 3.5L V6? I gotta come up with something and quick. Hell, I'm even open to an engine swap option if available. I've gotta find more power and better MPG somewhere, somehow. Please help.

Unless you doubled the weight of your truck, I don't see how that is feasible.

Dang I was wondering when I was going to hear this from you. Even just lift, 295s, and bumpers would be killer, but with all the roof rack, custom mounted, and shit in your bed, it must feel like a bad 4 cyl...

That's why I boosted my 08 for lack of power. But the 16s will need a little more time for someone to develop a reliable system. I could be wrong but give it time. Sweet truck by the way.

Tires alone can count for a 1-2 mpg loss, plus the easily 1000 lbs of extras (truck vault, commercial cap, plate bumpers, full length rack, ladder, etc.) combined with a business that primarily goes off pavement. Throw in a little lead footedness and 10-11 mpg seems completely doable.

Haven't seen anything yet and not too long ago the aftermarket was still empty (brand new gearset on the ORs with the 8.75" ring gear). However, since you have an auto w/ 3.91s it's possible you could track down the 4.30 gears out of a manual trans OR and use that.

I gotta be completely honest here..

Your build, while totally cool and interesting, has this writing on the wall since day 1.

You can't seriously be shocked or surprised at this result.

How about 5.7L of awesome Toyota fun and a massive rear axle? That truck of yours must weigh over 6000 lbs...

Well first off anyone buying anything with a "tactical" in the brand is going to be a problem to explain, what did you think you were getting from a V6 ?? Decent mileage ?? Sporty performance ?? It probably had both before having another 1000lbs of shit thrown on it, not saying it's bad, but you need to be realistic with expectations after adding extra weight,etc:..

For some reason I'm reminded of the saying: "No one feels sorry for a girl crying on a yacht".

It is kinda cool looking, but I hope the color is reversible, I would get tired of it after a while. Not hating on your rig, just not to my tastes.
