I'm trying to decide between these two available Tacomas

    Option A) $16,488

2006 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab PreRunner with TRD OR package. 70K miles with graphite interior.

    Option B) $19,888

2008 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab PreRunner SR5. 32K miles with graphite interior.

My main concern is the fact that I don't really want a car with 70,000 miles, seems like a lot in my opinion. Which would you take?

sounds like you've already made up your mind. personally, id get the 08 with less miles. my 06 only has 36k and if i sold it id probably ask for 17,500.

I would buy the SR5. Both are Prerunners and only 2WD so you really don't need the TRD OR package. In my opinion.

B....for mileage, you can mod it later, possibly throw in the locker if you think you need it.

Sounds quite unanimous then. But B is 125 miles from my house, where as A is only 50 miles away. Its worth the drive for a good value though.

i'd go with the locker over mileage. cause honestly....thats still pretty low miles for a tacoma.

70K is quite a bit of miles. I would go with option B.

TRD Off road package on a 2WD truck is no different then installing a 6500lb hitch on a camry. Makes no sense

It makes plenty of sense..it just depends on your life style...If your not a big off road enthusiast but enjoy camping and fishing or you live in a place where mud can be an issue than I think the Locker in the OR Package is a good thing. But on the other hand, I think your LSD on your Sport is pointless too so....

    I pick option B

In two years at 15kmiles/year driving, you have a 100k on option A. While option B will have 70k on that rig in the same two years, still 30k miles from that dreaded 100k sales price lowering phenomenon.
