DEFINITELY Macbook Pro. My IMac is now 6 years old, is used every single day, and works like the day I bought it.

I definitely gotta suggest the Macbook Pro. Its a 13" I got last summer. I was a skeptic at first but I am definitely glad I got one. But it really depends on what you need. If you are gonna do stuff that needs some heavy processing power and need access to many Windows based programs then I would suggest otherwise. For me being a college kid it gets the job done and it doesn't break my back carrying it everywhere.

Judging by a buddy of mine's laptop which has seen more terrible internet searches/drops/abuse than anything, I'd go with HP

Hate to be saying this. Owned and built PCs since long before my '99 taco rolled down the assembly line.

Now? I have a MBP and an iMac.

    Get the Macbook.

Why is Mac so much better? I knew some brands would be better than others but I didn't know it was this strong for Mac. This is why I like to ask different people!

I personally like Toshiba. I bought one 5 years ago and it's still running like the day I bought it.
