was thinking about putting a glasspack cherrybomb on cat back. I was wondering how it sounds if anyone has done that. Also if something else would sound better? Running an 02 base, stalk engine

Stock muffler. A glasspack sounds like pure ass. Been there, done that in the late 90's.

I just put a Flowmaster 40 on my 12 and I like it not loud unless you want it to be. Kind of impressed with it to be honest. I thought the same thing about 4.0s sounding to loud and all that but the 40 was just perfect with a 3 inch output tip.

I put a stainless Gibson on, I'd have to look up the length. It has a nice sound, not loud, but certainly not stock. I compared it to a Magnaflow system and they were fairly similar.

Do you have a 3.4L? Magnaflow 18" sounds pretty good with cat back piping, or the 14" if you want it loud all the time.

    Seriously?
A 40 original series was my 1st muffler

    Droned horribly on the highway.

I have 3" super44 and small borla.... drones less
Just the super44 3" droned less than the 2/2.25" original40

It's a V6. No matter what you put it sounds like a V6. In my opinion the only thing that sounds proper with exhaust is an American V8, everything else is just ricer.

That's a totally different animal, no comparison to the taco. If that's the motor you're running why are you asking dumb fucks like us for exhaust recommendations?

I know you're not the OP but this isn't the set up OP is running. He likely has a stock truck that is perfectly fine and would most likely lose power with exhaust.

Mine isn't loud and I have no drown at the beginning I did but it got pretty quite after a month or so. I'm going to make a video and I'll share it with you. But honestly not bsing or I wouldn't have it in my truck if it was loud.
